Bissell is a leading vacuum brand with lots of innovative models. Whether you own pets, just need routine cleaning, or love hand vacuums, Bissell has a model for you. Today we’re going to compare two of their most innovative models: Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet Pro vs Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet.
Both are great, but which one is better with Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet vs Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet Pro? Obviously the Pro model is more powerful, but that doesn’t necessarily make it better, or a better value.
Read on and we’ll compare them to show you which pet vacuum is best for your home.
Revolution Pet vs Pro: Brush
First stop on our Revolution Pet Pro vs Pet review is the brush, and this is where you should start with all vacuums. You want a good brush that can easily clean carpets and hard surfaces of any crumbs, dust, hair, and other debris. Bissell is known for have powerful vacuum cleaners with great brushes.
You’ll be happy to know that both ProHeat 2x Pet models come with the exact same brush. Call the Dual DirtLifter PowerBrush, it’s as strong and effective as it sounds. This gives you two brushes working in tandem. You get 12 rows in total that dig deep into your carpet to remove stains, odors, debris, and anything else lurking in the fibers.
As the name implies, this brush is great for pet hair. Whether your pet sheds a little or a lot, you’ll have no problem cleaning all that hair and fur.
Plus, there are multiple cleaning modes, like Max for the most power and Express Clean Mode, that wets the floor and ensures it dries in 30 minutes or less.
While the brush is the same, there is one very important difference between these models.
Bissell Pet Pro has a removable brush roll cover. This is one of the major differences with Bissell Pet vs Pet Pro. The removable cover makes it easier to reach under sofas and other areas. It gives you just a little more clearance to clean areas other vacuums couldn’t reach.
It’s not an essential feature, but it’s certainly useful.
Overall, the brush is exactly the same, but the Pet Pro’s removable cover is very useful.
This is a Bissell wet vacuum cleaner, which means that it has a water tank to clean those pesky pet stains or any other liquids from your carpet. Spilled some wine? Tracked some mud? Got food on the floor? The Bissell ProHeat 2x is able to heat the water to make cleaning even more effective (more on this later).
Let’s first cover the capacity.
Some wet vacs give you different capacities based on the model tier. Even though ProHeat Pet Pro is the superior model here, you might be surprised to know that they both have the exact same capacity.
Both come with a 1 gallon water tank, which should be enough for almost any mess.
They are also easy to fill. The water tank is about the dust container. Simply take it over, run water over the top until it’s full, and place the tank back on the vacuum. It’s that easy.
While the water tank is exactly the same, there is one extra feature the Revolution Pet Pro includes. We think it belongs here because it’s part of wet cleaning, though it’s technically not included with the water tank.
Pet Pro allows you to spray a CleanShot pretreater over any messes (it’s best for pet stains, but it works for any stains on your carpet). Simply push a button and the cleaner will spray the mess. Sure, you can spray from a bottle (and you’ll have to with the standard Revolution Pet), but the Pet Pro is so much more convenient.
The water tank is exactly the same, but we’re giving the win to Pet Pro for its pretreating CleanShot blast.
Bissell HeatWave Technology ensures the water is hot and ready for cleaning any stains on your carpet. You don’t even need to do anything special to heat the water. Simply spray and the water will cover any area you need.
We do suggest using the Express clean function when possible. It typically releases a little less water, but it ensures the carpet dries in 30 minutes. However, if the mess isn’t coming up, then you might need a little more water.
This is one of the few Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet Pro vs Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet sections where we can’t talk about extra features with the Pet Pro. Both models are exactly the same here, so it’s a tie.
Weight and Tools
You should always check the overall weight of the vacuum along with the extra tools you’re getting. You don’t want an excessively heavy vacuum that no extra tools. At the same time, you don’t want a vacuum that’s really light, because that means it often suffers from weak power or poor stability.
The ProHeat 2x Pet Pro and ProHeat 2x Pet are both 18lbs. That’s a good weight overall. It feels solid and has lots of power, but it isn’t excessively heavy or hard to move around. This is a good middle ground where it’s easy enough to move around while being sturdy and durable.
What about extra tools? You actually get two of those with both models.
You get the 3” Tough Stain Tool and the 2-in-1 Pet Tool. The Tough Stain Tool is good for scrubbing hard stains out of the carpet. The 2-in-1 Pet Tools works with either wet or dry vacuuming and is ideal as a small hand vacuum.
The Pro version is a little stronger and better with wet cleaning, but they are nearly identical.
While the Pro Pet Tool is somewhat better, this is basically a tie between the two models.
This might be one of the most overlooked areas on vacuum reviews. You never want a cord that’s really short because that will limit how much you can clean. A short cord means you’ll have to go from outlet to outlet and it’s just exhausting.
Thankfully both of these Bissell pet vacuums have good cord lengths, but one is slightly better than the other (and we think you know which one it is).
The standard ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet comes with a 22’ cord. That’s pretty good. You should have no problem cleaning several rooms before having to switch outlets.
What about the ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet Pro cord length? It’s a little better at 25’, which gives you the extra room needed to clean a little further. It’s not a huge increase, but it’s still better.
While the extra 3’ power cord is nice, it’s not a massive win in the Bissell Revolution Pet vs Pro review. It’s better, but not by much.
What are the Differences Between Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet Pro and Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet?
Curious about the differences between Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet and Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet Pro? As you may have noticed, we found a lot of differences in almost every feature and section. Pet Pro is the superior model, but are the differences enough to justify the higher cost?
In general, Pet Pro is often $50-$100 more than Revolution Pet (of course sales and discounts might change this, be sure to check them both).
Revolution Pet Pro comes with a removable brush cover for lower clearance, CleanShot pretreating spray that sprays right from the vacuum, a slightly better hand vacuum attachment, and the power cord is 3 feet longer.
When it comes to similarities, both models have the same tools overall, the same exact brush, the same water tank, and the same HeatWave Technology for water water that cuts through stains.
For all those differences, we have to say that Pet Pro is the winner in our book.
Which Bissell Revolution Pet is Best?
This is a battle between price and features. If your budget is tight and you want a good vacuum at the lowest cost, then the Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet is a good model. It lacks some of the premium features, but you get a great brush, good tools, and great wet cleaning.
We have to give the overall win to Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet Pro. It’s only a little bit more, but you’re getting more features and more power. It’s a better value in our books, so we suggest getting that one. Some upgrades aren’t worth it, but the Pet Pro is worth every penny.
Both of these vacuums are great, but the real winner here is the Pet Pro. While the Bissell Revolution Pet is a great vacuum, the Pet Pro has extra features and is more useful overall. Plus, it’s only a little bit more expensive. While those who are really watching their budget might prefer the standard model, we think the extra features with the Pro Revolution are really worth it.
