Eufy RoboVac 25C vs 30C: Which Vacuum is Best?

Both of these vacuums share many of the same features, can clean your whole home, and have a great price especially when you consider everything you get. But which is better? Today we’re going to compare Eufy RoboVac 25C vs 30C to see which is better. Our Eufy RoboVac 25C review and 30C review will show you which vacuum is the better buy.

We’re going to compare Eufy RoboVac 30C vs 25C based on navigation, hard floors, carpet, battery life, and software. While the 30C is the stronger of the two, let’s see if it’s really the best buy.

Eufy RoboVac 25C vs 30C: Navigation

Our Eufy RoboVac 25C review and 30C review found that both vacuums use bounce navigation. While some of the newest robot vacuums can now clearly map their way through a home, the vast majority still use bounce navigation. If you’re new to robo vacuums, then you might be wondering what this is.

Bounce navigation means that the vacuum bounces against walls and objects as it finds its way through the home. It might not sound it, but this is actually quite effective and the vacuum will do it less and less as it learns the boundaries of your home.

In both cases, the Anker Eufy RoboVac 25C and Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 30C are fairly similar with navigation. The 30C seems a little better and finds its path a little quicker, but not by a significant margin. But, one big difference is that the Eufy 30C does have boundary detection. This makes it easier to detect walls along with areas it shouldn’t be.

Boundary tape, or boundary strips, is popular with automatic vacuums because this allows you to set areas where the vacuum shouldn’t go. For example, maybe there’s an area full of wires. The 30C has boundary detection and will abide by the strips. Speaking of which, you get strips when purchasing the Anker Eufy 30C.

What about the Eufy BoostIQ 25C? It doesn’t have boundary detection. It won’t “see” the strips even if you place them down.

Both come with a dedicated remote for manual controls, and you can also control the vacuum with the Eufy Home app. The app is a little better, but the remote control is great as well.

While the overall navigation is similar between the two, the boundary detection feature gives Eufy 30C the win here. However, if you don’t care about boundary tape, then they’re the same.

Eufy RoboVac 30C vs 25C: Hard Floors

When cleaning hard floors like wood and tile, you might be surprised to know that power often isn’t the most important factor. You rarely need a very strong vacuum to properly clean hard floors. What matters more is the brush.

With that being said, which Eufy RoboVac is best for cleaning hard floors? When it comes to Eufy RoboVac 25C vs 30C, both of them have a similar motorized brushroll that is able to quickly clean up dirt, dust, and other particles.

While the Eufy 30C has more power (which we’ll discuss in more detail in the next section), both of them are fairly equal on hard floors. The 30C does somewhat better due to the extra power, but not by a significant margin. You’ll also find that their BoostIQ technology, which alternates power based on surface and the amount of cleaning need, doesn’t make a significant difference here either.

You might be wondering which can pick up more debris before having to be cleaned out. They both have the same dust collector capacity of 600mL or 20.50oz, the dust collector is washable, and they use the same triple-layer filter.

If you primarily have hard floors, then you probably won’t notice a huge difference between these vacuums.

Carpet

They were both similar on hard floors, so will it be the same story with carpets? While it was the brush that mattered more with hard floors, you need power when getting through carpets. The fibers hold a lot of debris and only a strong vacuum can properly suck everything up.

Eufy BoostIQ is able to sense the surface and increase the vacuum power as needed. That means it automatically adjusts to carpet and even adjusts depending on the carpet’s depth. So, if you’re wondering can Eufy go on carpet? Yes, these models can both work on mid-pile carpets.

The Anker Eufy RoboVac 25C has a maximum power of 1500Pa while most models of the Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 30C go up to 2000Pa (some of the earlier models stopped at 1500Pa, but newer ones got a strength increase).

The Eufy 30C is significantly better on carpets due to this boost  in power. While 25C can hold its own and is good, it can’t keep up with the 30C. So, should you choose Eufy RoboVac 25C or 30C if you mostly have carpets? We would say the 30C does a better job, but the 25C costs less and does good as well.

Battery Life

Every robot vacuum has an internal battery that allows it to run automatically. When the battery is getting low, the vacuum will return to its charging base to recharge before getting back to work.

Surprisingly enough, when it comes to Eufy RoboVac 30C or 25C, both use the same battery. They have a 2600mAh Li-ion battery with a max runtime of 100 minutes and a charge time of about 5-6 hours. While the charge time is a little long compared to some other vacuums, such as Roomba 960 vs 980, the runtime is pretty good at 100 minutes.

Of course this is the maximum runtime. Both of them last closer to 56 when using BoostIQ on carpets and about 45 minutes at maximum power. But, if they’re on the lowest setting, then you can expect the 100 minutes from both Eufy vacuums.

Software

We covered how the Anker Eufy RoboVac 30C has boundary detection and this is a feature you won’t find with the Anker Eufy RoboVac 25C, but what about the other features? One of the most popular questions is: Will Eufy work with Alexa? You might also want to know about the app and other features.

Let’s start with the smart assistant first. Yes, both of these vacuums work with Alexa along with Google Assistant. Setting them up through the Eufy Home app or your smart assistant app should be simple. You can then give voice commands to tell the vacuum to start its routine or to clean a certain room.

Speaking of routines, the Eufy Home app allows you to set weekly routines that the vacuum will efficiently follow. This ensures that your home is clean when you want it to be. Not only that, but the app makes it easy to connect the vacuum to WiFi, see information such as battery life, get notifications about finished cleanings, and more.

Final Thoughts

So, which is better? When it comes to Eufy RoboVac 25C vs 30C, it’s a very close call. The Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 30C is stronger and has boundary detection. While this makes it better at navigating and carpets, the Anker Eufy RoboVac 25C is very close. It’s at a better price and almost as good.

If price is no concern, then the Eufy 30C is better. If you want a better price but a nearly identical robot vacuum, then the Eufy 25C is better for you.
